Navy Multiple-Address Letter Example
A multiple-address letter is useful when the same correspondence goes to multiple addressees. The critical part is keeping the addressee treatment, routing, and distribution accurate for the actual package.

Example workflow
- Confirm every intended addressee
- Use the correct multiple-address treatment for the correspondence
- Keep the body identical unless separate action is required
- Make distribution and copy information clear
- Verify names, commands, offices, and addresses before routing
When separate letters may be better
If different recipients require materially different action, privacy handling, or tailored content, separate correspondence may be clearer than forcing one multiple-address package.
Do not copy an old distribution list
Distribution data becomes stale quickly. Treat every addressee and address as current-data verification, not reusable boilerplate.
