NAVY ADMIN GUIDE
Navy Signature Block Format
A signature block is not just a formatting element—it represents who is authorizing the correspondence. The exact wording depends on the signer’s role and authority, so MilAdmin should never invent that authority.

Signature-block checklist
- Correct signer name
- Correct title or office when required
- Proper delegated-authority wording when applicable
- Enough space for signature
- Consistent alignment with the document format
Authority matters more than appearance
A perfectly aligned signature block is still wrong if the signer is not authorized or the delegation wording is incorrect. Verify command policy and delegation before routing.
Common repair issue
Copied correspondence often has signature blocks positioned with blank paragraphs or spaces. Rebuilding the DOCX with proper paragraph spacing makes the placement more stable.
